Welcome
ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • See our Nature Methods Application Note: "High Throughput in vivo screening for anti-angiogenic compounds using the Z-TagSM Angiogenesis Assay."

  • The Z-Tag Acute Toxicity Assay Starter Kit provides a rapid, cost-effective way to evaluate zebrafish acute toxicity screening in your own lab. Experience how easy in vivo acute toxicity screening can be!"

  • Molecular pathways are highly conserved between zebrafish and humans. Zygogen has analyzed a diverse panel of human genes including: kinases, cytoskeletal proteins, proteases, channel proteins, growth factors, transcription factors, oncogenes, cell-surface receptors, and intracellular signal tranaduction proteins. We find that approximately 80% have zebrafish homologs with an average amino acid identity of 62%.

  • The Z-Tag Angiogenesis Assay Starter Kit provides a convenient, cost-effective way to implement in vivo angiogenesis compound screening in zebrafish.

  • Zygogen announces three new compound screening services in zebrafish embryos: Notch Activity Analysis, Cartilage Assessment, and Bone Assessment.

  • See our recent publication: “Automated, Quantitative Screening Assay for Antiangiogenic Compounds Using Transgenic Zebrafish” Cancer Research (2007) 67: 11386-11392.

  • Fisher Scientific Now Offers Zygogen Embryos
Zygogen has joined Fisher’s Third Party Vendor program. This program allows companies to take advantage of their existing Fisher Scientific account to obtain Z-TagSM and MorphantTM zebrafish embryos. Orders can be placed through the Fisher Scientific website or through a Fisher representative. You will be billed through your Fisher account and we will ship your embryo order directly from our facility. Please contact us or a Fisher Scientific representative for more information.  (October 2007)

  • Zygogen Launches Online Zebrafish Embryo Sales
Zygogen now offers zebrafish embryos for sale to researchers for in-house experimentation without the need for an aquatic facility.  Z-TagSM transgenic and MorphantTM antisense morpholino-injected embryos are available online at www.zygogen.com/products.  Zygogen continues to offer embryo services such as gene knockdown phenotyping and compound screening.  Please see the website for details.  (August 2007)

  • Zygogen licenses Morphant technology from the University of Minnesota for use in zebrafish. This exclusive license establishes Zygogen as the Commercial provider of target validation studies in zebrafish. (July, 2006)

  • Zygogen licenses transgenic zebrafish technology, Z-Tag, to UK-based DanioLabs for internal drug discovery. (April, 2006)

  • Two of Zygogen's disease model assays are approved for screening in NIH's Roadmap Initiative through the MLSCN. Zygogen to participate through a collaboration with the Emory University Screening Center (winter, 2005)
