Molecular pathways are highly conserved between zebrafish and humans. Zygogen has analyzed a diverse panel of human genes including: kinases, cytoskeletal proteins, proteases, channel proteins, growth factors, transcription factors, oncogenes, cell-surface receptors, and intracellular signal tranaduction proteins. We find that approximately 80% have zebrafish homologs with an average amino acid identity of 62%.
The Z-Tag Angiogenesis Assay Starter Kit provides a convenient, cost-effective way to implement in vivo angiogenesis compound screening in zebrafish.
Zygogen announces three new compound screening services in zebrafish embryos: Notch Activity Analysis, Cartilage Assessment, and Bone Assessment.

Zygogen Launches Online Zebrafish Embryo Sales
Zygogen now offers zebrafish embryos for sale to researchers for in-house experimentation without the need for an aquatic facility. Z-TagSM transgenic and MorphantTM antisense morpholino-injected embryos are available online at www.zygogen.com/products. Zygogen continues to offer embryo services such as gene knockdown phenotyping and compound screening. Please see the website for details. (August 2007) -
Zygogen licenses Morphant technology from the University of Minnesota for use in zebrafish. This exclusive license establishes Zygogen as the Commercial provider of target validation studies in zebrafish. (July, 2006)
